Healthy Valentine’s Day Recipe: Strawberry Pastry Tartlets Recipe

This Valentine’s Day thousands are craving healthy Valentine’s Day recipes. Who knew healthy Valentine’s Day food could include Strawberry Pastry Tartlets? In this blog, we will talk about how to make this very easy Valentine’s Day dessert. Imagine sitting at the table over a candlelit dinner and after eating a delicious homemade Valentine’s Day meal, your spouse comes out with this impressive dessert. So let’s get into it!

If you have any allergies to gluten, use a gluten-free puff pastry dough.

Equipment for Strawberry Pastry Tartlet Recipe:

  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Heart-shaped Cookie cutter or free hand rectangular shapes
  • Spoon
  • Wax paper
  • Baking tray
  • Oven

Ingredients For Strawberry Pastry Tartlet Recipe:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 pint strawberries
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar or honey
  • ¼ teaspoon rosewater*
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried crushed rose petals*

*= optional

  1. Put all ingredients and equipment into a clean working space. Preheat the oven to 400F
  2. Slice the fresh strawberries into rounds and toss them lightly in granulated sugar or honey, as an alternative.
  3. Cut one puff pastry sheet into 12 rectangles or use a cookie cutter to make hearts. Put the pastry pieces onto a baking sheet on the baking tray.
  4. While leaving 1/4 inch edges on the puff pastry, add the sugared strawberry rounds to the centers of the cut puff pastry pieces.
  5. Bake the mini tarts for 15-20 minutes. After it’s finished baking, let it cool for 3 minutes on top of the oven. Plate and decorate the plate with rose petals and powdered sugar. Serve & Bon Appetit!
