Healthy Valentine’s Day Recipe: Bacon-Wrapped Scallops

This Valentine’s Day thousands are craving healthy Valentine’s Day recipes. Who knew healthy Valentine’s Day food could include Bacon Wrapped Scallops? In this blog, we will talk about how to make this very easy Valentine’s Day healthy meal. Imagine sitting at the table over a candlelit dinner and eating a delicious homemade Valentine’s Day meal your spouse comes out with this. So let’s get into it!

SERVINGS: 6-8 PREP TIME: 15 min COOK TIME: 20 min TOTAL TIME: 35 mins

Equipment for Bacon Wrapped Scallops:

  • Skewers
  • Bowl for washing scallops in vinegar and lemon juice
  • Tongs
  • Wax paper
  • Baking tray
  • Oven

Ingredients For Bacon Wrapped Scallops Recipe:

  • 2 lb. large scallops
  • 1/2 lb. turkey bacon, cut into thirds or halves
  • 8 Tbspn Ghee
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • dash of cayenne
  1. Put all ingredients and equipment into a clean working space. Preheat the oven to 425F degrees.
  2. Wrap the cut pieces of turkey bacon on the outside of the scallops, then attach to a skewer.
  3. Bake the wrapped scallops for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is brown and crunchy. After it’s finished baking, let it cool for 3 minutes on top of the oven.
  4. Melt ghee and after it has melted add cayenne and chili powder.
  5. Plate and decorate the plate, drizzling the spicy ghee sauce over the scallops. Serve & Bon Appetit!
