Seasonings are always zero calories…they are therefore always free! I was craving something tasty in addition to the delicious vegetable stirfry I’ve been making and having all week. I thought to make jerk chicken with what I had lying around- Grace’s Mild Jerk Seasoning!

This recipe is tasty and simple, just how I like it. Quick too!
SERVINGS: 4 PREP TIME: 10 min COOK TIME: 15 mins TOTAL TIME: 25-mins
Equipment:
- Nonstick Pan
- Metal Tongs
- Baking tray
- Wax paper or foil
Ingredients
- Graces or your choice of Jerk Seasoning
- 1lb chicken drumsticks
- Spray Canola or Coconut Oil
- Take out ingredients. Place ingredients in your working space. Press broil on the oven. Take off the skin of chicken drumsticks.
- Spritz canola or coconut oil on wax paper or foil placed on a baking tray for easy clean up and non-washing of the baking tray.
- To coat the drumsticks well, add 2 tablespoons of your chosen Jerk paste and marinate for 5 to 10 mins. Then, add drumsticks to the tray and pop in the oven for 15 minutes till chicken juices run clear and there is no pink inside the chicken. That’s how you know it’s done.
- If you’re not avoiding carbs for the day, feel free to add brown rice for a fiber-filled bread choice that keeps you in a calorie deficit and fuller longer to make those weight loss gains. If you prefer two 6-inch tortillas, that’s a great option as well.
