Equipment for Turkey Meatloaf:
- Small Skillet
- Loaf baking pan
- Chopping board or block
- Knife
- Bowls
- Spoons
Ingredients For Turkey Meatloaf:
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp ketchup, I use organic
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 small onion, minced
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1.3 lb ground turkey, 99% or 93% (I prefer 93)
- 1/2 cup seasoned whole wheat or gluten-free breadcrumbs, I like 4C
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp marjoram
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- Put all ingredients and equipment into a clean working space. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In the skillet, heat the olive oil with the onions until they are translucent. After 3-5 minutes, remove from heat.
- In a small bowl mix Worcestershire sauce and 2 TBsp ketchup.
- In a new bowl combine the rest of the ingredients on the list with the cooked onions from step 2. The small bowl with its components should not be touched.
- Place the mixture into a loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf, and spoon the Worcestershire sauce-ketchup sauce in the smaller bowl onto the top of the loaf.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the pie crust is golden brown.
- Cool for 5 minutes before serving. Plate and bon appetit!
