Crispy Oven Roasted Mushrooms with Seaweed Salt (Furikake)

Nurse’s Recommendation: Maitake is the best type for oven roasted mushrooms.

Mushrooms are known to have some anti-inflammatory properties. When prepared, mushrooms can be delectable, meaty, and well-seasoned. It is my favorite snacking mushroom: oven roasted mushrooms taste like a fried mushroom. It’s one of our ultimate forms of baking goodies. Who knew food could be soooo good that you feel empowered and abundant and good? As the recipe shows, I prepare the maitake mushroom with Italian olive oil, salt, and seaweed seasoning. Like mushrooms, seaweed is another ingredient that reduces inflammation in the body at the cellular level.

As a nurse, I’ve researched books about eating unprocessed in 2024 and delve into food science. I’ve made food diaries to track my eating habits and monitor how my body responds to what I eat. There is good processing and bad processing. Good processing is intended to make foods palatable. Bad processing contains chemicals that are not helpful to the body. I will share this specific book recommendation below. It has chapters upon chapters on how to eat to avoid bad food processing. My recipes will show you how to avoid this bad processing, and get the goodies only!

So how does the book relate to oven roasted mushrooms? Well, being informed of food processing guides you to find better ingredients, and eat better food. It makes you an effective consumer and chef.

This recipe is a result of the research I’ve done using the book I talked about above. Cheers to recipes for health and learning how to oven-roast mushrooms here! Bon appetit!

This recipe is tasty and simple, just how I like it. Quick too!
