A Strong Work Ethic Begins With A Vision

Define your strong work ethic. It can be “I will work hard now, so I can party later.”  It could be “self-care first, then fit in x amount of time to complete work each day.”

Set SMART goals. Allot a set amount of hours to work on your goals each day and alternate the subjects/topics you review each day if you have more than one goal. Within the allotted hours, take breaks and set smaller attainable goals.   An attainable goal is easily achievable. You can tell yourself “Even if I achieve 15 minutes per day for work, I am successful. ” This way it is an easy win and accomplishment. If you get stuck for 15 minutes, take a break and come back to it. Do something else you need to get done that is not work. That could be a chore or a hobby. Be forgiving and kinder to yourself if you have a bad day.  Keep going- whether it’s a chore, working on a goal, or a hobby until you reach your goals.
